Immunization Requirements
The list of required immunizations for all MLS Program students on the Methodist Hospital campus are listed below.

The program accepts applications from August through October 15 for the next academic year's class.
Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR):
- Two doses of MMR vaccine, OR
- Positive blood tests showing immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella
Hepatitis B: We urge you to start this series now
- A three dose series (spanned over a 6-month period), OR
- A positive blood test showing immunity for Hepatitis B (Hepatitis B surface antibody)
Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis):
- One dose of Tdap given within the last 10 years (recommended but not required)
Varivax (Chicken Pox/Varicella):
- 2 doses of varicella vaccine, OR
- A positive blood test showing immunity for varicella
Annual Influenza:
- Annual seasonal influenza vaccine
Tuberculosis Screening (TB):
- TB screening test within the past year (Quantiferon Gold test or T-spot blood test)
- Students with a history of a positive TB skin test must have documentation of a negative chest x-ray completed in the U.S. within the last year
COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2):
- All students must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, OR sign a medical/religious waiver
- Fully vaccinated is defined as two weeks after the final COVID-19 vaccine(s)
- Two Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or a single Johnson & Johnson vaccine
