Sara Rutter, MD
Dr. Rutter joined the Pathology Center in 2020. She completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as a fellowship in Transfusion Medicine/Blood Banking at Yale-New Haven Hospital/Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. She went on to complete the Advanced Specialty Training Program in Surgical Pathology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Transfusion Medicine/Blood Banking. She is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), AABB, and the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and has served on committees within the CAP’s Laboratory Accreditation Program. Her areas of focus are transfusion medicine and surgical pathology.
